Ventriloquized

Ventriloquized (2015) / Performance / single-channel sound and video installation, objects, live performer / 30’

About / Borrowing the aesthetics of a ventriloquism show, the artist and her own puppet-like representation perform an existential duet that speculates about perception and the side-effects of being under pressure. The piece involves visual illusions, text, and physical movement. Through interactions with anthropomorphized objects and other chameleonic creatures, the performer creates a dialogue on shared human concerns.
