Fortune tells …
Fortune tells that we will move to the Moon, we will turn the Moon into a narcissistic and self-centered entity, and this will have side effects (2015) / Installation / single-channel video, crystal ball, wooden shelve / 4' / 20 × 25 × 100 cm
About / A glass glove, placed on a shelf, displays a moving image of the moon rotating on its own axis. Crystal balls have been used by fortune-tellers for mapping and interpreting the unknown. The moon always faces the same side towards the earth, as they are locked in orbit with one another. The footage we see in the piece, provided by NASA, reveals all the sides of the moon that we cannot see. The title alludes to the consequences and responsibilities associated with human incursion into new territories.
